As part of our Tuia 250 (School Kit) We have been looking at the different perspectives of the first encounter between Māori and Pakeha. We were given 16 objects that could have been from The Endeavour and could be part of a museum exhibition about this time.
We have created stories for the objects that are linked to different people from the encounter and explain how these items could have ended up in the museum 250 years later.
We researched the item and what it was used for 250 years ago, then used our imaginations to create the story.
