How to access Read Theory

How to join ReadTheory.org

For all Students

1. Students navigate to ReadTheory.org in their internet browser on any device (computer, tablet, mobile).
2. Students sign up.
3. Students log in.
4. Students go to the "My Teachers" page.
5. Students enter YOUR email address ( crichmond@hameast.school.nz ) in the space provided.
6. Students click the "Send Invitation" button.

Waharoa

Everybody at Hamilton East School learns how to sketch. 

We all 'Look, Draw, Look'. 

We have been learning how to use a whispering pencil, talking pencil and a shouting pencil to add detail to our sketches. 

Here we are sketching at the front of our school.

Mapping continues in Kea Hub

After we designed our maps on paper of Hamilton East School we then used equipment found in our classrooms to make models of them.

 

 

Pāngarau - Math Mapping

We are learning about our school, our challenge in Pāngarau (math) is to map our school and come up with a track that would make a good fitness route. We are working in pairs to design these. We have to discuss, compromise and make great decisions about our maps.

 

 

 

Welcome Back!

Kia ora koutou.Welcome back to all the students returning to Room 8 & 9 of Kea Hub. We are excited about the year ahead. We have had a great time these last two days with Mrs D and Whaea Kat on Thursday, and with Whaea Kat and Jude on Friday. We have been enjoying learning how to play cooperative games like 'knotted hands' , 'hoop around the circle' and 'alligator alley'. Lots of talking and listening to others make these activities very successful.
