Leaves, Leaves, Leaves!
On a beautiful sunny, but slightly chilly day we all went out towards the front of the school to look at the huge piles of leaves under the trees in the carpark. We took turns playing in the leaves. There was a lot of very excited people!
Some of us wrote amount this moment in time.

Mother's day Baking
Thursday 9th of May, we (room 9) were lucky to have some university students come and help us bake yummy chocolate chip cookies and make lovely mother's day cards. It was an exciting experience for all of us. We got our hands dirty, did lots of measuring, mixing, stirring and cookie cutting! It was lots of fun, the room was filled with lots of laughter and smiles.
. .Once the cookies were golden brown, we let them cool down while the smell of fresh baking filled the air. We then wrapped our baking in bright coloured paper, tying them with a beautiful silky satin ribbon. We also showed off our artistic side by making a perfect mother's day card to place alongside the yummy cookies.

International Star Wars Day
On Friday 3rd May, Kea Hub thought it would be appropriate to recognise International Star Wars Day.
We did this through poetry, art and digital technology.
We wrote poems, some are in the slides.
We used Google Drawing to create an image, we used the magnifying option to enlarge the image so we could add detail.
We added links so you can see where we got our ideas from and to acknowledge the source.
We added music and video to make our presentation even more exciting!
We'd also like to acknowledge Peter William Mayhew who died just a few days before the official Star Wards Day.

Peter William Mayhew (19 May 1944 – 30 April 2019) was an English-American actor, best known for portraying Chewbacca in the Star Wars film series. He played the character in all of his live-action appearances from the 1977 original to 2015's The Force Awakens before his retirement from the role.
